THE GOSPEL...We believe that God became a man, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He died on the cross to pay for all our sins. He was raised bodily from the dead. Salvation and eternal life are free gifts which we received by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. We have eternal security and we cannot lose our salvation for any reason. OUR OPERATING PRINCIPLE IS: IN ESSENTIALS, UNITY. IN NON-ESSENTIALS, LIBERTY. IN ALL THINGS, CHARITY. OUR 3 ESSENTIAL DOGMAS 1) Jesus Christ is the eternal God, the only Savior and the sole source of eternal life. Jesus is the ETERNAL GOD manifest in the flesh as the "SON OF GOD". 2) We receive the gift of eternal life by grace ALONE, through faith ALONE, in Christ ALONE. NO WORKS ARE REQUIRED to get saved, stay saved or prove one’s salvation. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for the sins of the WHOLE world. When Jesus rose from the dead, He proved He has power over life and death. Jesus offers LIFE EVERLASTING as a free gift to EVERYONE. We rely entirely on JESUS CHRIST for our salvation and eternal life. 3) Our salvation is eternally secure. Eternal life means eternal security and we cannot lose it for ANY reason. Once we have believed...our salvation is irrevocable by God or by us. AGAINST DOGMATISM James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (gentleness and respect) 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. “Remember why we debate. CHATROOM PROTOCOLS This is a live, online program but it is still “CHURCH”. The moderators serve as our “DEACONS”. All conduct should be the same as your local church meetings. BE NICE AND KIND TO EACH OTHER, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE DISAGREE. If someone gets rude then we should issue a warning, then a timeout, then they will be REMOVED. TROLLS must be REMOVED quickly and decisively. When we remove a troll we should post a comment stating that we judged them as a troll. FALSE TEACHERS, those who challenge our CORE DOCTRINES will be stopped immediately. They will be told that if they disagree with our CORE DOCTRINES then we can arrange a time and place to discuss it. THIS IS NOT THE TIME AND PLACE. If they persist then they will be REMOVED. OFF TOPIC; we require that everyone stay on topic. If someone tries to divert the conversation then they will be politely asked to stay on topic. If they will not comply then they will be REMOVED. If someone is off topic but has an urgent and immediate need i.e. prayer, bring it to our attention so we can acknowledge it. Then a moderator will take them aside to help them. These rules must be applied equally to all, even to our closest friends in the congregation.
