My name is Duncan Beard, I am the owner, driver & tuner of the 'Thundergod' supercharged, methanol burning, 'competition altered' dragster. I have been a drag racing spectator since 1982 & always wanted to participate but didn't get round to it until 2017. I formed a team with renowned UK drag racer Des Taylor and at first he drove the car, to an eventual best of 7.50 seconds at 180mph. I started to learn to drive it in 2021 with a tamer tune and in 2023 I ran pbs of 8.4 seconds at 156mph. Des has retired from driving so I am taking over for 2025 season and looking forward to running my first '7', something I've dreamed of for 40 years.
